Blazing Beaks focuses heavily on the treasure. Picking up artifacts has two main purposes in this game. Firstly, use the artifacts for their abilities. Another option is to keep the artifacts and turn them in at a collector. The more artifacts players offer the collector, the better items they receive in return! Beware, though, because carrying artifacts makes the greed counter go up. Being too greedy means monsters get extra interested in killing players. Max out the greed counter for a really hard game.
In addition to a unique battle system in story mode, the tournament mode is another great feature of Blazing Beaks. Play with up to four people on local co-op, and pick from five different kinds of player versus player. There's deathmatch, a classic free-for-all. If players want something more creative, they can try out "Drop Hearts Mode", where one random player drops recovery hearts that anyone can pick up. The other three modes include "one gun" in which every player starts with a single weapon that can't be changed, "skull keeper" where players keep control of a golden skull, and "hunting mode".
