Grimistar Features
Grimistar uses intense bullet-hell side-scrolling action to put the player in the role of the Ugly Duckling’s pilot. It works well to convey the intensity of the combat situations. In combat, you will face a variety of enemies. For instance, you will battle your way to face off with the evil overlord. Additionally, the video game features fun controls. These controls make dodging asteroids a breeze, battling evil forces exhilarating, and collecting fuel cells fun.
tippedchair ups the ante of Grimistar with a wide array of enemies and asteroid peltings throughout the game. Furthermore, dodging enemy fire and deadly asteroids feel like being the hero of the universe. However, that is not to say that it is all action. The moments between the characters are hilarious. Regardless, these moments are funny breaks from the action. Similarly, you will want to re-read the exchanges repeatedly. Likewise, the high replayability and hilarity of character interactions will leave the player wanting to return for more.
In Conclusion
Grimistar is an impressive video game. The most amazing and unique aspect of this top-down shooter is the time it took to develop. Grimistar was made in three days by four people, and the result is remarkable. The game emphasizes what a side-scrolling space shooter can be. Grimistar pays homage to past games and evolves the genre with challenging combat and unique character dynamics. Finally, the need for more space combat, hilarious quips, and defeating the scary overlord will keep you coming back again and again.
