Developed by Scott Cawthon, FNaF: Sister Location is a horror survival video game, available for the Windows and iOS operating systems. It is the fifth official installment in the Five Nights at Freddy's video game franchise. It released across the three platforms through 2016 and 2017 and additionally had one major update. This update added content and finished the fifth leg of the ever-evolving FNaF universe.
This particular game focuses on events after both restaurants closed. The animatronics' creator Afton rents them out for children's' birthday parties. However, somehow the robots have come alive. They feel and think for themselves. They no longer like murdering children for their creator. Nonetheless, there's no place safe for the animatronics as they are now. The story revolves around how the classic characters and even adds a new face for players both new and old to the franchise!

The story in this video game expands on the horror of the animatronics and what they are capable of. It opens with the creator answering some very uncomfortable questions about what exactly his purpose is with them. This cutscene introduces a new character called Baby Circus. She makes ice cream, blows up balloons, and even takes song requests from little kids. While the robots are available for private birthday parties, they're different than in previous games. All of them are sick of the evil ways their creator makes them engage in, and want a way out. Follow the story and find what new secrets await.
There's a totally new mechanic from previous FNaF games. The player no longer stands in one place, plotting a way for survival. Instead, wander through a variety of different places and find clues. These clues help move the story forward. There are items and cutscenes alike. However, not all of them are happy memories! The robots' creator makes them do some scary things, but their desire for freedom is scarier yet. This game is also only the third Freddy game to actually show blood at certain points. Players must be careful not to get caught while finding their way through three completely new areas as Eggs Benedict, an employee of the creator Afton. There are even two different endings, so players control the results of their journey.
