Supergiant Games is an independent video game developer based in San Francisco, California. The studio was founded in 2009 by ex-Electronic Arts developers Amir Rao and Gavin Simon. Supergiant Games has created several critically acclaimed titles, including Bastion, Transistor, and Pyre. 

The indie studio's latest release, Hades, was nominated for several awards after it came out of Early Access on September 17, 2020. The action-roguelike game won two awards at The Game Awards 2020, including Best Independent Game and Best Action Game.
