About Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night
Developed by ArtPlay, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is an action-adventure side scroller RPG for the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Play Station 4, and Windows operating systems. The video game is the newest addition to Japanese video game producer Koji Igarashi's gothic 2.5D world. Back in May 2015, Igarashi launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for the game. Players wanted another Castlevania-style game from Igarashi so desperately that they raised a whopping $1.5 million on the first day of the campaign's launch. Fast forward four years later, and the long-awaited video game is finally complete and available for purchase.
Immerse yourself in 19th century England, and play as Miriam: an orphan cared for by a guild of alchemists who fear the impending Industrial Revolution. In order to scare the rest of humanity into halting their manufacturing ways, the alchemists experiment with demonically-powered crystals called Shards-and Miriam is one of their test subjects. Although the Shards gave her tremendous magical powers as a Shardbinder, they are also gradually crystalizing her body. Every second that passes makes Miriam one step closer to losing her humanity. Passing time makes the alchemists one step closer to losing control of the demons they have summoned.
During one of the alchemists' rituals, everything goes wrong. In the ritual, the alchemists use their Spellbinders to summon the forces from Hell. However, they quickly realize the sheer force and destruction of the demons are too much to control. All of the Spellbinders are sacrificed, save for Gebel and our protagonist Miriam who has somehow fallen into an unnatural slumber. Miriam wakes up ten years later to find Gebel using the demons to wipe out the human race. It's up to Miriam to craft weapons and armor and use her Spellbinder powers to defeat Gebel and his army of demons in Hellhold castle. But will she be able to defeat them before her body completely crystalizes?

The game features rich, character-driven narrative with multiple playable characters. Players have the ability to customize your characters and gameplay by crafting gear and upgrading spells. Also, there are 13 free DLCs to enhance your experience. This includes 5 different game modes, nightmare difficulty setting, and multiplayer co-operation or versus play. Players unveil secrets and must defeat countless demons and bosses. In addition, the game features stunning graphics and a musical soundtrack.
